Mosgo's: March 2006

Thanks for stopping by. A new round of support letters have gone out, so if you are here checking in as a result of a letter please take a bit and look at what has been done so far. I hope you are able to see the potential for long lasting impact that Mosgo’s can offer Arcata. Near the end of any project funds get rather tight, we are in that boat as well. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.

We have also sent out our volunteer letters. Mosgo's will have a large volunteer staff and many aspects of the shop could not function without that support. It will be great to see folks dropping specialty drinks off at local offices dressed in our classy aprons.

I am excited to be involved in the project. I have met so many wonderful neighbors so far and am looking with anticipation to the opportunity to serve the Westwood Community. Personally I make it a point to drop everything whenever I see someone looking in the window. It is my first opportunity to form relationship with our community. If someone is going to take the time to look at our storefront the least I can do is come on out and let them know what is going on and how welcome they will be when we are open.

Progress @ Mosgo's

Greetings Everyone. Just look at these pictures, we are really moving here! This Saturday our work day will include priming the 18" circles that our lights will be mounted on. There are 12 of them so we have lots to do. We will also be painting the back blue room (still blue), and there are a few cabinets still ready for assembly. This will be a no stress work day with great music, fabulous people, tasty snacks and yummy coffee. Remember, Saturday 9 to 12. Just so you know, we have a soft opening date of April 10th. This may move a bit...but if you don't aim for something you will never get anywhere.

Mosgo's Update

Hello everyone, just a quick update on Mosgo's progress. We have our health permit and construction is going on much faster than I expected. I will finish the demolition this week and have the cement trenching done by Monday of next week. We are still on for a work day building chairs and tables. It will be a fun Saturday from 9 to 12.
